Homemade Lotion
All of the following ingredients can be purchased at Family Dollar in the lotion/hygiene section for a dollar each. You'll need the following ingredients, a big mixing bowl, hand mixer, and lots of little jars to put the new lotion.
Lotion Recipe
2 jars store-brand Vitamin E cream
2 store-brand baby lotion bottles
1 jar of the store-brand Vaseline
1. Dump above into a large mixing bowl. I found that cutting apart the baby lotion bottles helped me to get a bunch more of it out. And get a bigger mixing bowl than you think you're going to need or it'll be messier than you thought.
2. Mix. Don't overheat the hand-mixer.
3. Put the new lotion that you made all by yourself into little jars. You can reuse the vitamin e cream jars and Vaseline jar again. Or you can buy fancy jars at an antique store...
4. Apply to skin. It absorbs quickly. For best results, apply after bathing. For dry, cracked heels apply after bathing and before bedtime (sleep in socks).
If anybody have a different way doing these, please let me know :)

A life Saver Called "Plumpynut"
You've probably never heard a good news story about malnutrition, but you’re about to. Every year, malnutrition kills five million children - that's one child every six seconds. But now, the Nobel Prize-winning relief group "Doctors Without Borders" says it finally has something that can save millions of these children.
What is it you say..... well it's cheap, easy to make, and even easier to use, as CNN's Anderson Cooper reports, it's a ready-to-eat, vitamin-enriched concoction called "Plumpynut," an unusual name for a food that may just be the most important advance ever to cure and prevent malnutrition.
"Now we have something. It is like an essential medicine. In three weeks, we can cure a kid that is looked like they're half dead. We can cure them just like an antibiotic. It’s just, boom! It's a spectacular response," Dr. Tectonidis says.
"It's the equivalent of penicillin, you’re saying?" Cooper asks.
"For these kids, for sure," the doctor says.
This miracle has saved countless lives and continues to save lives worldwide. It's better than powdered milk because it doesn't need clean water to mix it with and also convenient to mothers because they can administer it at home.
Plumpynut is a remarkably simple concoction: it is basically made of peanut butter, powdered milk, powdered sugar, and enriched with vitamins and minerals. It tastes like a peanut butter paste. It is very sweet, and because of that kids cannot get enough of it.
After reading that I could not believe there is a product and a cheap one as this one(less than $1) and still kids are starving. I also did some research and found out that an Ethiopian company produces these product with the help of a french company called Nutrise. So maybe we could give “Plumpynut” to the many malnourished kids in Ethiopia and witness the miracle.

Mobile phone vs . Bible
our mobile phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several time a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing.
Unlike our mobile phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being
disconnected, because Jesus already paid the bill.
Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities? And no dropped calls!
Trust in the Lord and *ASAP (Always Say A Prayer)
Have a blessed and wonderful day!
Knock, Knock I knocked at heaven's door this morning.
God asked me...'My child, what can I do for you?'
And I said,'Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message.'
God smiled and answered...'Request granted' .

Scam Email
It is very devastating reading about such incident and very hard to believe that this kind of ignorance still exists. The fact of the matter is, the email the whole email is a hoax. They ask you to sign a petition (your name & email) and forward it to your friends/family. The last person (#500) should forward the names and emails of all 499 people to a certain email address they provide. The way the story is written is to make the person reading it feel guilty if they don’t forward it, it makes you feel like you have participated in that atrocious crime.
So I goggled the story and sure enough there is a statement from S. African police denouncing the email. They say “The myth that sex with a virgin will cure AIDS really does exist in Africa. This sickening and vile myth may be at least partially to blame for South Africa's extremely high incidence of child rape. Such myths are not new nor are they confined to the African continent. The myth is also common in other developing nations with high rates of HIV infection. In 19th century England, many men believed that having sex with a virgin could cure venereal diseases such as syphilis.”
What upsets me more than the story itself is that these things do exist and by this people using it to scam people makes it hard for real organizations to advocate for the victim. Next time people won’t even give this kind of claim a second look or even take it seriously and work with people to make a difference. I think it’s our responsibility to educate ourselves before forwarding them to anybody. The police say signing this misguided email petition is pointless and will do nothing to help South African children. In fact forwarding the message may even add to the problem by wasting the time of police staff obligated to answer questions about the supposed closure of the unit.

Help me Raise Fund for Adopting Parent
Last year I did an Internship at a Christian adoption agency, which gave me the opportunity to witness firsthand on how adoption could be a blessing for both parents and the child. It made me realize how tough the journey could be and how the chosen hear and answer the calling no matter how many challenges they face; they face it head on and bring their child/ren home for me that is the most beautiful way of being victorious.
So I’ve been thinking on how I could possibly help these parents maybe contribute a little, etc that’s when an idea occurred to me. I have a friend that sells African Jewelry (Necklace) so I asked her to let me post the pictures of the necklaces and sell them on my blog and a percentage of each necklace sale goes to an adopting parent who is raising money to cover the fees. What do you think?
I’ll post the pictures soon J

Random thoughts on Adoption
I work at an adoption agency (International) and I see every day how families pray, hope and blog about their soon to be child. Then the day comes when the court will tell the family that finally the child is legally theirs...the child they only know on picture.
I think it's a blessing to have a heart that could love without boundaries, to open one's house for a complete stranger that now you can't live without :)
I don't know why but I feel so happy when I see pictures of families with their new child and every time I thank God that a small child is saved to see another day :) to live life to the fullest.
